Frequently asked questions

Do you take insurance?

I’m a private-pay practice and don’t bill insurance directly. On request I can provide a monthly statement (superbill) that you can submit to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement isn’t guaranteed, so please check your benefits.

By not involving insurance, our work together stays entirely confidential, and it allows us to make treatment decisions based on what you need rather than only what an insurance plan will authorize.

Where do you see clients?

All sessions are by secure video. I’m licensed in Georgia and can see clients who are physically located in Georgia at the time of each session.

What if I’m not in Georgia?

I can’t provide therapy to clients outside of the state where I’m licensed. I’m happy to help you find someone appropriate where you live.

How often will we meet?

Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. While most clients find the most benefit from weekly sessions early on, your schedule, budget, and goals matter. Together, we will collaborate on a frequency (whether that is weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly) that supports your healing without overwhelming your life.

Is what I say confidential?

Yes, with legal exceptions such as risk of serious harm to self or others, and suspected abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult, which I am required to report. I explain this in detail at the start of therapy.

Do you provide emergency services?

No. If you’re in crisis, call or text 988 or call 911.
